Do I need a soundbar with a subwoofer?
Not always. If you enjoy action films, music with heavy bass or gaming, a subwoofer makes a significant difference. For primarily TV watching, dialogue-heavy content or smaller rooms, a soundbar without a subwoofer (like the Sonos Arc Ultra or Bose Smart Soundbar 900) delivers excellent results and cleaner aesthetics.
What is Dolby Atmos and do I need it?
Dolby Atmos adds height to the soundstage — sound appears to come from above, not just left and right. It's most noticeable in cinema-mixed content (Netflix, Disney+, Blu-ray). If you watch a lot of streaming content on a modern TV with HDMI eARC, it's well worth having. Six of our eight models support it.
What does HDMI eARC mean and why does it matter?
HDMI eARC (enhanced Audio Return Channel) allows your TV to pass high-quality audio — including Dolby Atmos — directly to your soundbar over a single HDMI cable. It gives the best audio quality and simplest setup. All TVs made after 2019 typically have an eARC port. If your TV has it, use it.
What is your delivery and returns policy?
Standard UK delivery is £4.99 (3–5 working days). Free delivery on orders over £99 — which covers all but the Sony HT-S400. Express delivery (1–2 days) is £9.99. You have 30 days to return any item for a full refund, no questions asked. Faulty items within 30 days get an immediate replacement or refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
